It has been brought to the Parish Councils attention that people have been taking dogs into the fenced area at the Play Area at Hutton Henry. We wish to reiterate that dogs (or any other animals) are NOT permitted within the play area, this is clearly sign posted.
Most play areas in County Durham have signage prohibiting dogs. This is because unfortunately dogs and children, for various reasons, do not mix.
If you would like to read further information about the risks, ROSPA, a leading voice nationally in health and safety have published the following information: https://www.rospa.com/policy/play-safety/advice/dogs.
The Parish Council ask that users respect and adhere to these rules.
Thank you
